\"Screenshot<\/a>Lots of things are happening today. Annetarsia Knits has it’s own page on the website, and pre-orders for the book are starting.\u00a0 “Next Steps in Intarsia” is launching on Craftsy.<\/a>\u00a0 But somehow, having the AK projects listed on Ravelry<\/a> feels like a Very Big Deal.\u00a0 I haven’t been able to post Annetarsia projects on Ravelry because the book wasn’t ready – so it felt like I wasn’t doing anything.\u00a0 Is that odd?\u00a0 If it’s not on Ravelry, it isn’t real? Such is the power of this on-line knitting forum, the knitters “Facebook”.<\/p>\n

This wouldn’t have happened without serious help.\u00a0 I arrived home from Knit Lab at midnight on Sunday, then Bill and I had to pore over the advance copy of “Annetarsia Knits” for an hour or so because, well, duh!\u00a0 So I didn’t get much sleep before heading to the office on Monday morning to see a full slate of patients, do payroll, and pay the bills that piled up while I was gone.\u00a0 While I was busy being “Dr. Anne”, my team was working hard to assemble the Rav page, and the website page, for pre-orders.\u00a0 Sarah assembled photos and contacted the Dizzy knitters who test-knit the patterns.\u00a0 Bill Berk edited the photos, and got them ready for Ravelry.\u00a0 Donna kept track of everybody, set up the Ravelry page, got the Rav store ready for PDF pre-orders, and her husband, Dom, helped with computer stuff.\u00a0 I feel like the luckiest person on the planet to have these gifted, talented, dedicated people in my corner.<\/p>\n

It will be a work in progress for a few days, I am sure.\u00a0 There are always buttons that don’t link, some type of glitch, and things to be added or changed.\u00a0 (Don’t worry if you have problems as we start out.\u00a0 We have plenty of time, the books aren’t even here yet!)\u00a0 But, working together, this is happening.\u00a0 It’s real.\u00a0 It’s been a really long journey, and I wouldn’t blame people if they thought it would never actually be finished.\u00a0 I almost pulled the plug a few times, myself.\u00a0 I know, for certain, that I couldn’t have done it alone.\u00a0 Annetarsia might stem from me, but this is definitely a community effort.\u00a0 I wouldn’t have it any other way.<\/p>\n

Breaking news:\u00a0 Just got word that my Craftsy class<\/a> is now LIVE. I’ve e-mailed the lucky winner, and can’t wait to see her, and other knitters, in class!<\/p>\n
