{"id":1360,"date":"2014-05-23T15:13:30","date_gmt":"2014-05-23T15:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/annetarsia.com\/?p=1360"},"modified":"2014-05-23T05:13:56","modified_gmt":"2014-05-23T05:13:56","slug":"and-the-winner-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/2014\/05\/and-the-winner-is\/","title":{"rendered":"And the Winner is&#8230;.."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to Nadine (aka nfegram), who will be watching for a package of luscious &#8220;Yummy Toes&#8221; from Miss Babs in the mail!\u00a0 Thanks to everyone who commented on the posts.\u00a0 This was so much fun that I plan to have many more give-aways in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Next, hearty congratulations to Cheryl Scallon, who was notified this week that she passed Level III of the TKGA Master Hand-knitting Program, and will be pinned as a Master Knitter in July at the National convention in Manchester, NH.\u00a0 The TKGA Master Hand-knitting Program takes many years to accomplish.\u00a0 I spent 8 years on it, and Cheryl has been working on it longer than that.\u00a0 This is actually pretty typical.\u00a0 It is a rigorous course, and not meant to be easy.\u00a0 Many people don&#8217;t finish, and there is no shame in that.\u00a0 Both Cheryl and I thought about discontinuing our efforts, toward the end.\u00a0 My daughter shamed me into finishing, and if I am not mistaken Cheryl&#8217;s daughter did the same for her!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1359\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1359\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1359\" src=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/image-200x300.png\" alt=\"Aran, designed and knit by Cheryl Scallon for Level III of the TKGA Master Handknitting program. That sweater is so pretty that it (almost) isn&#8217;t upstaged by the charming child!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cheryl found me, as many knitters do, when she was working on the Argyle socks for Level II and wanted some advice.\u00a0 I love Argyles, as you know, and am always delighted to help.\u00a0 Cheryl and I became friends, and continued to correspond as she worked through Level III.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been a long, hard road, and I couldn&#8217;t be prouder and happier for her to have achieved this accomplishment.<\/p>\n<p>And, I feel like a winner, too!\u00a0 As I get notifications in my e-mail that you are ordering Books and PDF&#8217;s, every time it feels like a vote of confidence, and I am so thrilled that you are looking forward to &#8220;Annetarsia Knits&#8221;.\u00a0 Some of you are contacting me for yarn information as you plan to buy yarn for projects &#8211; which gives me great joy.
