It is just unbelievable how much the timeline of birthing a book resembles birthing a baby.\u00a0 Everything is now ready for its arrival. The mailing materials are ready, the labels are written, space is cleared for the boxes of books.\u00a0 And I feel the same way I did when I was past my due date with Deborah.\u00a0 I have no more control over the situation now, than I did then.\u00a0 It’s a waiting game.<\/p>\n

So, I’m at loose ends.\u00a0 Since I can’t do anything about the book, I’m being productive elsewhere.\u00a0 I’ve cleaned the kitchen, done laundry, re-checked the mailing supplies, went running, packed for next week, worked on the new classes I’ll be teaching at Stitches Midwest…yep, I’ve been busy.<\/p>\n

With all that accomplished, I decided to start a new knitting project.\u00a0 I’m still working on Bolder Move, but am on the downhill slide with that one, and needed something more challenging, for my restless mood.\u00a0 So, I went into my stash and pulled out yarn that I bought at a Stitches event – though I can’t remember which one.\u00a0 I haven’t knit stripes for awhile, and this looks like a great garment to wear at work, or any time.<\/p>\n

Besides knitting, and getting the pre-ordered books autographed and mailed, I’m planning to read, run, and rest.\u00a0 That will be a lot easier to do once the books are actually here and I get them mailed off to their new homes!<\/p>\n
