{"id":2139,"date":"2014-11-22T21:38:02","date_gmt":"2014-11-22T21:38:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/annetarsia.com\/?p=2139"},"modified":"2014-11-22T21:38:02","modified_gmt":"2014-11-22T21:38:02","slug":"weaving-knitting-and-kitties-what-more-would-you-want-on-a-lazy-saturday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/2014\/11\/weaving-knitting-and-kitties-what-more-would-you-want-on-a-lazy-saturday\/","title":{"rendered":"Weaving, knitting, and kitties &#8211; what more would you want on a lazy Saturday?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This has been a busy, tough week at the office for Dr. Anne.\u00a0 But today is Saturday, with nothing on the calendar.\u00a0 Whee!\u00a0 A chance to take stock of everything I have been doing, and assess progress.<\/p>\n<p>I finished the pillow fabric I&#8217;ve been weaving on the floor loom.\u00a0 When I took it off the loom I was amazed at how much fabric there was.\u00a0 Even though I was measuring as I went, 90&#8243; of fabric is a lot when it is laid out.\u00a0 I had a wonderful time weaving, alone in the living room with my music playing.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve decided that it isn&#8217;t possible to have enough bobbins.\u00a0 No matter how many you have wound, they weave up so fast and then you have to stop weaving to wind more.\u00a0 But that is OK, I enjoy every process in weaving, so far.\u00a0 I am going to have to cut the fabric and sew up the pillows&#8230;sometime.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t bear to do it just yet.\u00a0 I am going to enjoy it as it is, for just a little bit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2205.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2138\" src=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2205-143x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2205\" width=\"143\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2205-143x300.jpg 143w, https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_2205.jpg 306w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 143px) 100vw, 143px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2134\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2134\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Snapseed10.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2134\" src=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Snapseed10-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Close-up of the Twill pattern\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Snapseed10-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Snapseed10.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2134\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Close-up of the Twill pattern<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been working on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/off-kilter-shawlette\">Blue Moon Mystery Knit-a-long<\/a> project, but got sidetracked, so fell behind on the Clues.\u00a0 Now it has been revealed as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/off-kilter-shawlette\">&#8220;Off-Kilter&#8221;,<\/a> and once I saw the finished project I decided that I could really go off-kilter if I wanted to.\u00a0 So I added some more short-rows here and there, and didn&#8217;t worry overmuch about following the pattern.\u00a0 Also, I like big shawls, so kept knitting until running out of yarn.\u00a0 Now I am at that point, and starting the i-cord bind-off.\u00a0 With about 400 sts on the needle, that will take awhile.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2131\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2131\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Snapseed6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2131 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Snapseed6-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"It turns out that the book I am currently reading, my cell phone case, and my knitting project all match.
