I seem to have a short attention span right now, and am going back and forth between some fun projects – it’s Play time!<\/p>\n

I knit up the homework for Teddy Bear Sweater Finishing class (watch for this one, it is a super fun way to learn lots of finishing technique!).<\/p>\n

\"Homework<\/a><\/p>\n

Yesterday I attended an all-day seminar on changing to ICD-10 code, which was a great opportunity to knit L’Enveloppe.<\/a>\u00a0 I made tons of progress, and really love the yarn, which is hand-dyed Anacostia worsted from The Knitting Boutique<\/a>.\u00a0 It is a big puzzle piece right now, but I trust Sally Melville.\u00a0 Knitting a pattern of hers is like vacation, for me.<\/p>\n

You can see where I changed skeins, as the colors shift. This happens with hand-dyed yarns, and I embrace the effect on this project, as I think it adds to the feeling of a varied skyline. The greener skein feels more like ground, and the bluer more like sky. I am loving this!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Weaving is not a portable hobby, and I am pretty tired in the evenings, but I have still found some time to play on the looms.<\/p>\n

On the rigid heddle loom, I have stash leftovers on the warp, and am using a sparkly worsted weight for the warp. This is a narrow band which I have plans to ruffle and sew around a shawl. It’s playtime, so we will see what happens!!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
