I’ve been working on finishing up some knitting projects, and continuing to practice my weaving skills.<\/p>\n

I finally finished Strandwander<\/a>, just in time for football season and supporting the Oregon Ducks with this great colorway by Holiday Yarns.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I also finished L’Enveloppe<\/a>, which is an amazing pattern by Sally Melville, knit with Knitting Boutique Anacostia worsted in the Baltimore skyline colorway.\u00a0 It was fun to knit, but I wasn’t sure how it would all come together.\u00a0 But it worked out great and I love it!\u00a0 I am sure that I will knit this pattern, again.<\/p>\n

I finished my practice warp, and got a fun surprise.\u00a0 Check out the before and after photos of this scarf.\u00a0 My weaving was looking pretty stiff with a firmer beat, so I thought I would loosen up the beat and let the warp show through.\u00a0 The weaving looked like a mess and I was worried it would fall apart in wet-finishing.\u00a0 But that is what practice is for.\u00a0 Surprise!\u00a0 It turned into a soft, drapey scarf, and now I wish that it was longer!!!<\/p>\n

I decided to make another set of placemats, and got the warp on, and started weaving in only a few hours.\u00a0 So, I know that I am improving.\u00a0 This is the first time I’ve warped without consulting my notes at all.\u00a0 Go, me!<\/p>\n

It’s great to get some projects finished.\u00a0 Now I am turning my attention to upcoming events where I will be teaching.\u00a0 First up, I travel to Dallas for Stitches Texas!\u00a0 This is the first time for this event, and I am honored to be asked to teach.\u00a0 I’ll be teaching 6 different classes, and I hope to see some of you there!<\/p>\n
