This was the very first time that Stitches held an event in Texas.\u00a0 I was pleased and honored to teach at this inaugural event, and I had a lovely time.\u00a0 The students were engaged and enthusiastic, the venue is beautiful, and the market was spectacular.\u00a0 Being the first event, it was less crowded than other Stitches events.\u00a0 I warned students not to get used to it, because I expect the numbers to grow quickly.\u00a0 This was my first time to visit Texas, and I hope that it will not be my last.<\/p>\n

Another first – I was asked to help dress a model for the Fashion Show!\u00a0 It was intense, but a lot of fun.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_3094(1)\"<\/a>I found some fabulous yarn in the market to knit Brooke Nico’s lovely Floral Tunic.<\/a>\u00a0 This pattern is from her book, Lovely Knitted Lace.\u00a0 I swatched as soon as I got home, and am getting started immediately.\u00a0 The yarn is dyed by my friend Carol Sulcowski, who is the genius behind Black Bunny fibers.<\/p>\n
