It’s a good thing that Brooke Nico and Carol Sulcoski of Black Bunny Fibers<\/a> have teamed up.\u00a0 Brooke’s designs and Carol’s hand-dyed yarns are a match made in heaven.\u00a0 At the VKLive Chicago market, I decided to find yarn to knit a sweater from\u00a0 Brookes’ book “Lovely Knitted Lace”<\/a>.\u00a0 She and Carol had a “Sip, Sip, Knit” booth in the market, and they helped me find the perfect yarn for the Floral tunic.<\/p>\n

I had a wonderful time knitting this sweater. The pattern is enjoyable, and the yarn is divine – a heavy lace weight with some fluff to it, but strength at the core.\u00a0 Love it!<\/p>\n

I will be wearing this all year round, and will think of my friends as I enjoy this beautiful sweater!<\/p>\n

Pre-blocking. Yuck. This is when a knitter leans heavily on their faith in the designer, and in the blocked swatch that came out perfectly.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Looks better than before blocking, but the gussets are crazy! Still, I know Brooke Nico knows what she is doing. Looking forward to trying this on.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
