The best things about my job as a knitting teacher are the people and the places where it takes me.\u00a0 I flew into the Burlington, VT airport on a gray, snowy day, a few days before teaching at the Vermont Fall Retreat along with organizer Donna Druchunas from Sheep to Shawl.<\/p>\n

Before and after the retreat, I stayed with Donna Druchunas, who together with her husband Dom, and mother Joyce, made me very welcome.\u00a0 They took me to see many local sights.\u00a0 One of them, the Glover country store, was so amazing that I took a bunch of photos.<\/p>\n

This is a serious one-stop shopping wonder.\u00a0 There was also some window shopping, where I spotted great examples of combining embroidery with knitting.\u00a0 See my Fun with Custom Colorwork class on Craftsy.com if you are as intriqued with the possibilities as I am.<\/p>\n

I loved being in Donna’s home.\u00a0 The views from every window were spectacular, hot tea and cozy places to read and knit were readily available, and it was a lovely place to be.\u00a0 I am very appreciative of being able to spend quality time with friends in such a beautiful part of our country.<\/p>\n
