{"id":3478,"date":"2017-03-26T15:49:35","date_gmt":"2017-03-26T15:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/annetarsia.com\/?p=3478"},"modified":"2017-03-19T18:52:33","modified_gmt":"2017-03-19T18:52:33","slug":"lucet-joy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/2017\/03\/lucet-joy\/","title":{"rendered":"Lucet joy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am having great fun with my Lucet braiding tool. \u00a0For the first time, I taught a class on Lucet, at Madrona, and it was a lot of fun! \u00a0This is such a great tool for braiding. \u00a0Check out the Lucet tool at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stitchdiva.com\/\">StitchDiva.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Several years ago I knit a pile of cranberries and popcorn, and strung them on black thread for our Christmas tree. \u00a0They have become a favorite decoration, and I noticed this year that they were looking a little wan and ragged. \u00a0This year, after taking down the tree, I unstrung them and gave the cranberries and popcorn a bath, which rejuvenated them wonderfully. \u00a0Instead of re-stringing them, I decided to attach them to Lucet cord as if they were beads. \u00a0I ordered rayon for the cord, and it is working out really well. \u00a0The decorations are more stable, and the cords will be much easier to place on the tree, and to store between seasons. Plus, when they get dirty again, I can wash and dry the entire &#8220;beaded&#8221; cord very easily. \u00a0I am so pleased with how it is turning out. \u00a0Now, I need to finish this cord and make more cranberries and popcorn!
