This rain at night and clear during the day weather is really working for me.\u00a0 Wonder how long we can keep it up.\u00a0 Several projects made progress this week, which contributes to my cheery mood.\u00a0 The Dreaming of Shetland<\/a> project, a dream-funder for Deb Robson<\/a>, has been rolling right along.\u00a0 Bill is doing final polishing of the photos, and I packaged up all of the projects to send back to the designers.\u00a0 It was a big pile.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The project sort of took on a life of its own, as Deb is greatly beloved.\u00a0 As the list of participants grew, so did the work load, but that is a wonderful problem to have.\u00a0 The collection of projects is fantastic, and I can\u2019t wait for all of you to see it.<\/p>\n

I finished the back of Mithril<\/a>, and it took almost exactly one skein of Plucky Single.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a>That tiny ball is all that was left.\u00a0 Of course, I planned it that way…yeah, right.\u00a0 Sometimes you get lucky.\u00a0 I\u2019ve started on the front, and am really enjoying the knitting.\u00a0 This is borderline movie knitting, as every 6th<\/sup> row I need to do the texture clusters, but I am going to see Star Trek tomorrow and have decided to take my chances.\u00a0 I\u2019m too busy to think about a 2nd<\/sup> project right now.<\/p>\n

The Book\u00a0 continues to progress. Bill will get back to the Book photos once he finished the Shetland ones.\u00a0 I am going over Ann\u2019s edits of the text and patterns.\u00a0 Everyone warns me that no matter how many people go over the projects multiple times, errors always slip through.\u00a0 But I\u2019m going to try my best to beat the odds. I\u2019m having a good time going over the patterns again, comparing them to the samples, and going over each piece meticulously. Then, when virtual knitting gets to be too much, I retreat to mindlessly knit on Mithril and clear my head.\u00a0 Seems to be a good mix for me, I\u2019m having a good time.<\/p>\n

Levana is a FO, and I love how it turned out.\u00a0 Levana\u2019s designer, Sivia Harding, is a contributor to Dreaming of Shetland.\u00a0 She came to the house to pick up her project, so that I didn\u2019t have to mail it.\u00a0 Not one to miss an opportunity like this, I had Bill take a picture of Levana with me and Sivia.\u00a0 What a thrill! Sivia assured me that there is no proper way to wear Levana.\u00a0 It is going to be a very versatile accessory. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
