{"id":3765,"date":"2018-02-21T19:52:39","date_gmt":"2018-02-21T19:52:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/annetarsia.com\/?p=3765"},"modified":"2018-02-21T20:20:30","modified_gmt":"2018-02-21T20:20:30","slug":"madrona-fiber-arts-winter-retreat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bartonriveryarn.com\/annetarsia\/2018\/02\/madrona-fiber-arts-winter-retreat\/","title":{"rendered":"Madrona Fiber Arts Winter Retreat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I look forward to February every year, because it contains 2 of my favorite fiber events: Madrona Winter Retreat, and Stitches West.\u00a0 First up was Madrona, and although it is always wonderful, this year the vibe seemed especially up-beat and relaxed.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been knitting with Marly Bird&#8217;s Chic Sheep yarn for Red Heart, for months.\u00a0 100% superwash merino, it is delightful to knit with, or I never would have made it.\u00a0 I designed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/chic-sheep-dream-blanket\">Chic Sheep Dream Blanket<\/a>\u00a0for her, and knit the sample for her to display at CreativeBug.\u00a0 Then she wanted ANOTHER one to display at Stitches West.\u00a0 When I hesitated, she said that I could keep this one after Stitches West.\u00a0 I was planning on knitting one for myself eventually, anyway, so I cast on again!
