An isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides. The yoke of this sweater is composed of 8 isosceles triangles within larger isosceles triangles, for a dramatic effect directing attention to the face. Gradient yarn is used for the framing triangles, creating a lighter effect on one side of the sweater, and a darker effect on the opposite side. The sweater is shaped identically on both sides, so can be worn with either side to the front or the back.<\/p>\n
The tunic features my intarsia in-the-round (ITR) technique, and is knit from the top-down, so you do the fun intarsia first, and then have nice easy knitting for the rest of the sweater. It is a great pattern for a gradient kit! The pattern assumes that the knitter has basic knowledge of ITR.<\/p>\n
